NBA Mock Draft 2009 Picks #21-30 Pick
| Team
| Pick
| College
| | 21 | | Chase Budinger
| Arizona | | Hornets need a SG, and can you imagine a shooting duo of Budinger and Peja. | | 22 | | Patrick Mills | St. Mary's
| Everyone knows that the Mavs are looking for a PG in the first round. So, naturally they will take the best PG available. They wont go wrong with any PG they take at this point.
| | 23 | | James Johnson | Wake Forest | | Kings must take a Forward at this pick. Johnson is the best Forward available and can provide the Kings with athleticism off the bench. He still needs work on his shooting, but this will help the Kings to have a much more physical presence down low. | | 24 | | Darren Collison
| UCLA | Portland needs to find a PG of the future, could Collison be the one? Portland has made it known that they want to trade up and get one of the better PG's in this class.
| | 25 | | Omri Casspi | International | Thunder have an opportunity to get a lot better in this draft. Casspi would give them a great shooting threat with Casspi and Durant.
| | 26 |
| Wayne Ellington
| North Carolina
| | The Bulls could get a sharp shooter with this pick, and get deeper off the bench. | | 27 |
| DaJuan Summers | Georgetown | | Summers and Rubio would be a nice addition to the Memphis Grizzlies. | | 28 |
| Austin Daye
| Gonzaga | | Daye would be a project, but the T'wolves have the time. | | 29 | | Taj Gibson
| USC | | The Lakers will probably lose Odom in the off-season, and this kid could replace Lamar Odom next year. | | 30 | | Sam Young
| Pittsburgh | | Cavs need a C, but there aren't any 1st rounders left. Sam Young is the best player available. |
